Construction begins on XSV 17, the new larger 17m / 56ft, 60kts version of Barracuda.

Having successfully completed development of the 11/13m versions of Barracuda, we have begun the manufacture and development of the new 60kts high speed XSV 17m wave piercer design, a larger (17m / 56ft) version of Barracuda. Below, a 1:20th scale model of the design, this is useful as it allows visualisation of how it will look in real life. Pretty good I believe!

Below, the plug for the hull mould under construction, the plan currently is to have the demonstrator, which will become the first saleable version built by end of 2016, early 2017.
