'Calaneras' the new Interceptor 38 pilot boat for the port of Algeciras, Spain.

Safehaven Marine have just launched 'Calaneras'. She is an Interceptor 38 'All weather' pilot boat for the Port of Algeciras in Spain, and is the second pilot boat we have supplied to the port following 'Getares', an Interceptor 48 we built in 2012. Its a fine endorsement for Safehaven to have a repeat order as it demonstrates how pleased the Port have been with their first vessel. 'Caleneras' is powered by a pair of Volvo D9 425hp engines and has an operational speed of 25kts with a 300nm+ range. She has a capacity for 1-2 crew and 3-4 pilots in her very comfortable main cabin with additional seating in her f/wd cabin. She is heavily fendered and fitted with our proven 'Sacrificial' boarding fender system and also features a 'pusher bow' allowing her to assist smaller ships in close quarter manoeuvring in harbour.
